Identifying The Pattern of Material Loss at the Head-Neck Junction Wear Helps Determine the Mechanism of Failure of Metal on Metal Total Hip Replacements [PDF]

open access: yes
Material loss at the Head-Neck junction accounts for a third of the total volume material loss in contemporary metal-on-metal total hip replacements. It is speculated that the material loss is the result of corrosion and mechanical wear (fretting).

Biphasic Granular Bioinks for Biofabrication of High Cell Density Constructs for Dermal Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces a biphasic granular bioink (µInk) that enables 3D bioprinting of high cell density constructs for dermal regeneration. The bioink promotes cell proliferation, ECM deposition, and neovascularization, leading to tissue integration and reduced scar formation in vivo.
