Screening for lung cancer: A systematic review of overdiagnosis and its implications
Low‐dose computed tomography (CT) screening for lung cancer may increase overdiagnosis compared to no screening, though the risk is likely low versus chest X‐ray. Our review of 8 trials (84 660 participants) shows added costs. Further research with strict adherence to modern nodule management strategies may help determine the extent to which ...

ABSTRACTIn 1988, Michael Halmagyi and Ian Curthuoys described a simple yet reliable indicator of unilateral peripheral vestibular deficits at the bedside. This ‘head impulse test’ (HIT) as is has been known since, has stood the test of being a reliable indicator of vestibular deficit, especially for the horizontal semicircular canal. The test has been ...

Clinical analysis reveals significant dysregulation of FGFRL1 in esophageal cancer (EC) patients. RNAi‐coupled next‐generation sequencing (NGS) and in vitro study reveal FGFRL1‐mediated EC progression via EMT, PI3K/Akt, and Notch pathways. Functional assays confirm its role in tumor growth, migration, and invasion.

The TIGA technique for detecting gravitational waves with a spherical antenna [PDF]
We report the results of a theoretical and experimental study of a spherical gravitational wave antenna. We show that it is possible to understand the data from a spherical antenna with 6 radial resonant transducers attached to the surface in the ...
