HUBUNGAN ANTARA PENGETAHUAN KESEHATAN REPRODUKSI DAN KETAATAN BERAGAMA DENGAN SIKAP TERHADAP HUBUNGAN SEKS PRANIKAH (STUDI PADA SISWA KELAS II SMAN 1 SEMARANG) CORRELATION BETWEEN KNOWLEDGE OF REPRODUCTION HEALTH, RELIGIOUSNESS OBEDIENCE AND ATTITUDE TO PREMARITAL SEXUAL INTERCOURSE (STUDY ON THE SECOND GRADE STUDENTS OF SMAN 1 SEMARANG) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Parental Education and Child Health - Understanding the Pathways of Impact in Pakistan [PDF]

open access: yes
This study investigates the relationship between parental schooling on the one hand, and child health outcomes (height and weight) and parental health-seeking behaviour (immunisation status of children), on the other.

Identification of serum protein biomarkers for pre‐cancerous lesions associated with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Brazil’s Bolsa Família conditional cash transfer and child malnutrition: a nationwide birth cohort study

open access: yesBMJ Global Health
Introduction Poverty amplifies the risk of malnutrition, which is particularly harmful to children as it can perpetuate a cycle of poverty and poor health.

Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 increases metastatic potential and aggressiveness in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Knowledge, Attitude and Practice on Blood Donation among Health Science Students in a University campus, South India [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Background: The major part of demand for blood in India has been meeting through voluntary blood donations. The healthy, active and receptive huge student population is potential blood donors to meet safe blood requirements.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

The Computational Diet: A Review of Computational Methods Across Diet, Microbiome, and Health. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Food and human health are inextricably linked. As such, revolutionary impacts on health have been derived from advances in the production and distribution of food relating to food safety and fortification with micronutrients. During the past two decades,

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.
