Irisin is a crucial plasma biomarker and promising therapeutic target that reflects disease severity, pulmonary vascular remodeling status and clinical outcome in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). As a novel protective factor, irisin is downregulated in PAH. By ubiquitination, irisin promotes Enolase 1 degradation and suppresses cell

Expression of ventricular myosin subunits in the atria of children with congenital heart malformations. [PDF]
The presence of ventricular myosin light chains in the atria of children with congenital heart disease was demonstrated by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, peptide mapping, and Western blot analysis. Ventricular myosin light chains were present in 27% of biopsies from 91 children with different forms of congenital heart disease ...

The upregulation of PFKM activates glycolysis, thereby enhancing lactate production in atrial tissue. Atrial lactate accumulation promotes global lactylation and H3K18 lactylation in atrial fibroblasts. P300‐mediated H3K18 lactylation up‐regulates TGF‐β1 transcription, leading to fibroblast activation and thereby contributing to atrial fibrosis.

CLINICAL CASE OF MULTIPLE HEART TUMORS IN NEWBORN
Heart tumors are a rare pathology, especially in children. They have a varied characteristic. This disease can affect any part of the organ, the pericardium, the myocardium, the valves, the internal tissue of the heart, as well as the septum between the ...

EBBP expression is significantly upregulated in DOX‐treated cardiomyocytes. Mechanistically, EBBP interacts with GRP78 to mediate K63‐linked ubiquitination, thereby attenuating the inhibitory GRP78‐PERK interaction and triggering activation of the PERK‐mediated integrated stress response (ISR).

The contribution of ionic currents to changes in refractoriness of human atrial myocytes associated with chronic atrial fibrillation [PDF]
Objective: To investigate changes in human atrial single cell functional electrophysiological properties associated with chronic atrial fibrillation (AF), and the contribution to these of accompanying ion current changes.

MANF in cardiomyocytes interacts with BAX to impede BAX mitochondrial translocation and cytochrome c release, further stabilizing mitochondrial structure and energy supply to relieve myocardial apoptosis and hypertrophy, which indicates MANF as a novel cardioprotective factor to have a promising clinical application for myocardial hypertrophy ...
