Computational models of atrial fibrillation have successfully been used to predict optimal ablation sites. A critical step to assess the effect of an ablation pattern is to pace the model from different, potentially random, locations to determine whether arrhythmias can be induced in the atria.

In KLF1‐on (neonatal and Klf1 overexpression hearts) models, KLF1 regulates Wnt/β‐catenin signaling pathway and the expression of cell proliferation‐related genes via transcriptional and epigenetic mechanisms, which induces cardiomyocyte proliferation and cardiac regeneration in mice after myocardial infarction.

Targeting miRNA‐1a and miRNA‐15b: A Novel Combinatorial Strategy to Drive Adult Cardiac Regeneration

The article explores a novel therapeutic strategy for cardiac regeneration by targeting miRNA‐1a and miRNA‐15b. Combinatorial inhibition of miR‐1a and miR‐15b enhances cardiomyocyte proliferation, improves heart function, and reduces fibrosis in myocardial infarction models.
