The Distribution and Characteristics of Endogenous Cardiac Stem Cells in All Four Chambers of the Adult Human Heart [PDF]
The human myocardium harbours resident multi-potent cardiac progenitor cells (CPCs). We investigated the distribution, properties, differentiation potential and effect of LV function on CPCs in all chambers of the human heart.

We measure the cell‐specific responses of administering infusible ECM (iECM) in acute myocardial infarction (MI) across multiple timepoints. Using single‐nucleus RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomics, we measure macrophage activation, fibroblast remodeling, increased vascular development, lymphangiogenesis, cardioprotection, and neurogenesis ...

Experimental study on coronary perfusion with selective brain cooling for direct aortic surgery
1. Retrograde coronary perfusion in combination with selective brain cooling by irrigation was investigated in dogs, in comparison with direct coronary artery perfusion. 2.

Chamber‐specific decellularized extracellular matrices (ECMs) were developed, preserving native proteomic profiles of ventricular and atrial myocardium. These innate biochemical cues differentially modulate cardiomyocyte subtypes to drive engineered heart tissue development and function, highlighting the importance of incorporating regional ECM cues in

Ebstein’s Anomaly: “The One and a Half Ventricle Heart”
Ebstein's anomaly remains a relatively ignored disease. Lying in the 'No Man's land' between congenital and valve surgeons, it largely remains inadequately studied. We report our short-term results of treating it as a 'one and a half ventricle heart' and propose that the true tricuspid annulus (TTA) 'Z' score be used as an objective criterion for ...

Our coaxial electrospinning system is capable of incorporating decellularized myocardial extracellular matrix in a core‐sheath configuration, creating nanofibrous scaffolds. These scaffolds, in turn, support the maintenance of functional cardiomyocytes adhered to the surface of these bioactive scaffolds.
