Micro Physiological Vibration Detection for Human Heartbeats

2018
The purpose of this investigation is to verify the accuracy and stability of a novel detection scheme based on pulsation micro-vibration signals. Different from traditional heart rate measurement, this scheme has the advantage of convenience in comparison with the pulsations determined by EKG and PPG. Actually, the heartbeat pulsation measurement based

Heartbeat tracking device for detecting arrhythmia

2013 2nd International Conference on Advances in Biomedical Engineering, 2013
We want to introduce a device for arrhythmia tracking, in order to detect the presence of arrhythmia during sleep and outdoor. In this work, we have developed such a highly sensitive and accurate arrhythmia detector. The device is based on the Pan-Tompkins algorithm for QRS-detection to detect the normal and abnormal heartbeats.

Wearable Ballistocardiography system for heartbeat detection

2016 International Conference and Exposition on Electrical and Power Engineering (EPE), 2016
Ballistocardiography (BCG) is a non-invasive method based on the measurement of the human body motion occurring due to acceleration of blood as it is ejected and moved in the large vessels at each cardiac cycle. The system presented in this paper is designed to measure the reaction force of systolic contraction of the body after determining the pumping

Development and benchmarking of algorithm for heartbeat detection

2017 International Conference on Smart, Monitored and Controlled Cities (SM2C), 2017
This paper introduces an algorithm for ECG beat detection for portable monitoring systems using the band-pass filtering technique. It uses the Mexican-Hat wavelet as the impulse response of the corresponding band-pass filter. It relies on the adaptive threshold technique to minimize the number of false positive beats and therefore guarantee robustness ...

Detection of heartbeats based on the Bayesian framework

2016 IEEE International Conference on Signal and Image Processing (ICSIP), 2016
The detection of heartbeat is an important and challenging issue for health care. This work proposes to estimate the QRS complex parameters based on the maximum-likelihood (ML) principle. To this goal, a new signal model and its Bayesian framework are studied.

Design for Fetal Heartbeat Detection and Monitoring in Pregnancy Care

2018
The piezoelectric pressure sensor technology has been developed for many years and it shows broad possibilities of using this technology in development of smart wearables for heart rate monitoring. The project goal was to explore the possibility to use the pressure sensor technology in Pregnancy Care.
