Convergence of the ‘relativistic’ heat equation to the heat equation as $c\to\infty$ [PDF]
We prove that the entropy solutions of the so-called relativistic heat equation converge to solutions of the heat equation as the speed of light $L ^1(\mathbb{R}^N)\cap L^\infty(\mathbb{R}^N) $u _0 \geq 0.

Thermal quadrupole method with internal heat sources [PDF]
A new method based on the thermal quadrupoles technique for heat transfer modelling in multilayered slabs with heat sources is proposed. Classical thermal quadrupoles use hyperbolic functions and numerical problems occur according to the argument value ...

Time-decoupled high order continuous space-time finite element schemes for the heat equation [PDF]
Copyright © by SIAMIn Comput. Methods Appl. Mech. Engrg., 190 (2001), pp. 6685—6708 Werder et al. demonstrated that time discretizations of the heat equation by a temporally discontinuous Galerkin finite element method could be decoupled by diagonalising

On the projection method for solving the heat equation with lumped heat capacity [PDF]
This paper presents some results of the possibility of using the least squares projection method for solving heat equations with concentrated heat capacity on a half-line.

On a time-optimal control problem for a heat conduction equation with involution [PDF]
In this paper, we consider a boundary control problem for a heat conduction equation with involution in a bounded one-dimensional domain. The solution with the control function on the border of the rod is given.

Null controllability of heat equation with switching controls under Robin's boundary condition [PDF]
In this paper, we consider the null controllability of 1-d heat equation endowed with Robin's boundary conditions, when the operator - d(2)/dx(2) has positive eigenvalues and try to find sufficient conditions for building switching controls.

In this paper, we study global well-posedness and long-time asymptotic behavior of solutions to the nonlinear heat equation with absorption, ut-Δu+|u|αu=0{u_{t}-\Delta u+\lvert u\rvert^{\alpha}u=0}, where u=u(t,x)∈ℝ{u=u(t,x)\in\mathbb{R}}, (t,x)∈(0,∞)×

Global and local existence of solution for fractional heat equation in R N by Balakrishnan definition [PDF]
Our aim here is to collect and to compare two definitions of the fractional powers of non-negative operators that can be found in the literature; we will present the proof of an equivalence and compare properties of that notions in different approaches ...
