Variation Characteristics of Surface Fluxes on Different Underlying Surfaces and Their Relationship with Precipitation in the Canyon Area of Southeast Tibet

open access: yesGaoyuan qixiang, 2022
In this study, variation characteristics of surface fluxes were analyzed by using the eddy covariance observations from four stations of Pailong, Danka, Kabu, and Motuo in the southeastern gorge area of Tibet from November 2018 to October 2019.Pailong ...

Nonlinear evolution of the whistler heat flux instability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We use the one-dimensional TRISTAN-MP particle-in-cell code to model the nonlinear evolution of the whistler heat flux instability that was proposed by Gary et al. (1999, 2000) to regulate the electron heat flux in the solar wind and astrophysical plasmas.

Experimental Investigation on Two-phase Circulation Cooling System with Multi-channel Direct Cooling Plate

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2021
A two-phase circulation cooling system with a multi-channel direct cooling plate was developed. The R1233zd(E) cooling medium was used. The thermodynamic cycle and cooling performance were investigated under the following conditions: the condensing ...

Interaction vesicles as emerging mediators of host‐pathogen molecular crosstalk and their implications for infection dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...

Shuttling heat across 1D homogenous nonlinear lattices with a Brownian heat motor [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate directed thermal heat flux across 1D homogenous nonlinear lattices when no net thermal bias is present on average. A nonlinear lattice of Fermi-Pasta-Ulam-type or Lennard-Jones-type system is connected at both ends to thermal baths which ...

STAT3 expression is reduced in cardiac pericytes in HFpEF and its loss reduces cellular adhesion and induces pericyte senescence

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) accounts for half of the heart failure cases. It is characterised by microvascular dysfunction, associated with reduced pericyte coverage and diminished STAT3 expression in pericytes. Loss of STAT3 impairs pericyte adhesion, promotes senescence, and activates a pro‐fibrotic gene program.

One-Dimensional Heat Conduction Inverse Modelling of Heat Flux Generated at Tool-Chip Interface in Cutting Inconel 718

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Inconel 718 has been taken as the difficult-to-machine material for manufacturing aerial turbine disk due to its superior high-temperature resistance and high hardness. Massive heat flux generated at the tool-chip interface, and high tool temperature can

Evaluation of flux expulsion and flux trapping sensitivity of srf cavities fabricated from cold work Nb sheet with successive heat treatment [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The main source of RF losses leading to lower quality factor of superconducting radio-frequency cavities is due to the residual magnetic flux trapped during cool-down. The loss due to flux trapping is more pronounced for cavities subjected to impurities doping.
