Influence of Heat Input on Formation of Layers in WAAM

Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
Experiments are carried out on WAAM using solid wire grade G3Si1 as additive material. The layers are deposited with single beads. Metallographic macro sections are made from the obtained samples and are used to determine the geometric dimensions of the layers, i.e. width, height and lateral waviness. The correlation coefficients between the heat input

Effect of Heat Input on Microstructure and Microhardness in WAAM

Proceedings of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences
Experiments were carried out for WAAM of samples using electric arc and additive material in the form of solid wire grade G3Si1. The layers were built-up with one transition each. Metallographic macro- and microsections were made from the obtained samples. The macro- sections are used to determine the locations of microhardness measurements.

Effect of heat input on residual stress

2018
The article presents bulk residual stress distributions, as measured by neutron diffraction, for the configuration of a single pass gas tungsten are weld bead desposited on to a 10 mm thick X18N9T steel substrase. The resulting microstructures and residual stress distributions are discussed in terms of the differing thermal excursions across each weld.
