Heat pipes and their use in technology [PDF]

open access: yes
Heat pipes may be employed as temperature regulators, heat diodes, transformers, storage batteries, or utilized for transforming thermal energy into mechanical, electric, or other forms of energy. General concepts were established for the analysis of the

Differences in Immediate and Delayed Suggestibility Among Children With Dyslexia and Controls

open access: yesBehavioral Sciences &the Law, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The primary aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between dyslexia and suggestibility in children, and the extent to which this relationship is accounted for by performance on Word Tasks. Participants comprised 95 children with dyslexia and 109 controls.

Advanced spacecraft thermal control techniques [PDF]

open access: yes
The problems of rejecting large amounts of heat from spacecraft were studied. Shuttle Space Laboratory heat rejection uses 1 kW for pumps and fans for every 5 kW (thermal) heat rejection. This is rather inefficient, and for future programs more efficient

Pd(II)‐Catalyzed Strategies for the β‐Arylation of α‐Amino Acids: An Overview

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The graphical abstract summarizes the review “Pd(II)‐Catalyzed Strategies for the β‐Arylation of α‐Amino Acids: An Overview”, highlighting representative Pd(II)‐catalyzed methods for the β‐arylation of α‐amino acids. Key mechanistic features, substrate diversity, and synthetic relevance of these transformations are showcased. Abstract Metal‐catalyzed C─

Depriming of arterial heat pipes: An investigation of CTS thermal excursions [PDF]

open access: yes
Four thermal excursions of the Transmitter Experiment Package (TEP) were the result of the depriming of the arteries in all three heat pipes in the Variable Conductance Heat Pipe System which cooled the TEP.

Boric Acid Post‐Modified [Al]ZSM‐5 Zeolites: Properties, Acidity, and Ethanol/Ethene Conversion

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The modification of MFI zeolites with boric acid leads to the formation of framework boron, unstable surface species, and unbound deposits. Relevant BAS for catalysis and access to pores are strongly reduced. The boric acid is removed upon converting C1 or C2 alcohols and ethene. ABSTRACT The effect of boric acid post‐modification on [Al]ZSM‐5 zeolites
