Experimental Study on the Performance of a Space Radiation Cooling System under Different Environmental Factors

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
As a new passive cooling technology, space radiation cooling has great potential for development because the cooling itself has no energy consumption, and the radiation heat exchanger does not affect the appearance, with low noise and low cost.

Molecular heat pump [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2006
We propose a novel molecular device that pumps heat against a thermal gradient. The system consists of a molecular element connecting two thermal reservoirs that are characterized by different spectral properties. The pumping action is achieved by applying an external force that periodically modulates molecular levels.

US residential heat pumps: the private economic potential and its emissions, health, and grid impacts

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2021
To explore electrification as a climate change mitigation strategy, we study US residential heat pump adoption, given the current US housing stock. Our research asks (a) how the costs and benefits of heat pump adoption evolve with increased penetration, (

ROTARY HEAT PUMP

open access: yesMechanics, 2011
An original rotary heat pump suggested by the authors is described in the presented paper. All thermodynamic processes of working fluid (evaporation – compression – condensation) based on the principle of heat pipe are provided in one volume of mushroom form closed vessel. The transportation of external heat flows is combined in the unit as well.

Comparison of PVT - heat pump systems with reference systems for the energy supply of a single-family house

open access: yesSolar Energy Advances, 2023
Photovoltaic - Thermal (PVT) collectors convert solar radiation into useful heat and electricity simultaneously, and with the same PV area, higher solar energy is harvested; hence PVT can be a key technology for the future supply of buildings.
