Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Spectral characteristics of the heat release rate in confined turbulent flames
The broad-band direct combustion noise is an important problem for industrial and domestic burners. The power spectral density (PSD) of this noise is related to the local spectral density of fluctuating heat release rate (HRR) ( $\psi _{\dot {q}}$ ), which is challenging to measure but is readily available from large eddy ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Investigation of excitation force on noise and vibration caused by combustion in a gasoline engine
This study focused on the piston system and targeted vehicle interior noise caused by combustion, which is mainly due to vibration transmission in the high-speed, high-load region.

Effect of Layout of Copper Foam on Heat Release Performance of Paraffin Wax
In order to improve the poor thermal conductivity and long-term heat storage of paraffin as a phase change material (PCM), this study placed copper foam into a cylindrical heat storage device filled with paraffin.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Numerical Study of Heterogeneous Reactions in an SOFC Anode with Oxygen Addition [PDF]
Previous experimental studies have shown that addition of small amounts of oxygen to a hydrocarbon fuel stream can control coking in the anode, while relatively large amounts of oxygen are present in the fuel stream in single-chamber solid oxide fuel ...
