Heat transfer characteristics of liquid nitrogen for cyclic heating

IEEE Transactions on Appiled Superconductivity, 2000
Bubble formation and the critical heat flux to transit to boiling state for cyclic heat inputs have been investigated using a platinum - 0.5at% cobalt (Pt-Co) wire and a silver sheathed Bi-2223 tape, in order to evaluate the cooling stability for superconducting AC power apparatus.

Research on Heat Transfer Characteristic of Pulsating Heat Pipe

2008 Second International Conference on Integration and Commercialization of Micro and Nanosystems, 2008
In order to understand the mechanism and characteristics of the running and heat transfer of pulsating heat pipe, visualizing experimental system was established. Bottom heat mode and top heat mode have been done. In the case of bottom heat mode different diameters have been investigated.

Heat transfer characteristics of nanofluids in heat pipes: A review

Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2013
Abstract Extensive research work on heat transfer in heat pipe using conventional working fluids has been carried out over the past decade. Heat transfer in heat pipes using suspensions of nano meter–sized solid particles in base liquids have been investigated in recent years by various researchers across the world for finding new opportunities.

Heat Transfer Characteristics of Gaseous Flows in Micro-Channels

1st International Conference on Microchannels and Minichannels, 2003
Two-dimensional compressible momentum and energy equations are solved to obtain the heat transfer characteristics of gaseous flows in parallel-plate micro-channels. The numerical methodology is based on the Arbitrary-Lagrangian-Eulerian (ALE) method.

On the Heat Transfer Characteristics of Highly Compact Heat Sinks

ASME 2010 8th International Conference on Nanochannels, Microchannels, and Minichannels: Parts A and B, 2010
This study conducts an experimental study concerning the airside performance of highly compact heat sinks under cross flow condition. The test fin patterns can be classified into four categories, namely the base plain fin heat sink (Type I), interrupted fin geometry (Type II), dense vortex generator (Type III), loose vortex generator (Type IV) and ...
