Laser-Induced Graphene Composites as Multifunctional Surfaces.
ACS Nano, 2019Laser-induced graphene (LIG) is a platform material for numerous applications. Despite its ease in synthesis, LIG's potential for use in some applications is limited by its robustness on substrates.

Surface heat transfer from self-heating hotspots
Applied Physics A Solids and Surfaces, 1984The surface heat transfer coefficientα for In, Sn, and Pb films is obtained from the investigation of the hysteresis in the magnetic field-voltage characteristics of these films in He I and He II. This hysteresis is caused by the heating-induced formation of normal hotspots in the resistive state of the films.

Heat Transfer in Scraped Surface Heat Exchangers

Pool boiling heat transfer characteristics of a biosurfactant particle deposited heating surface
International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, 2020The present work reports an experimental investigation of pool boiling of deionized water on a surfactant particle deposited heating surfaces. Heating surfaces made of copper are prepared by depositing surfactant particles through pool boiling of ...

Heat recovery without heat transfer surfaces
Journal of Heat Recovery Systems, 1983Abstract Most heat recovery systems involve heat transfer surfaces. This fact means high initial investment, high maintenance costs and efficiency decrease because of the fouling of the heat transfer surfaces. This article describes the working principles of a surface-less heat recovery system, the mathematical approach to treat such systems and ...

Heat transfer over a stretching surface with variable surface heat flux
Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics, 1998Heat transfer over a stretching surface with variable surface heat flux and uniform surface heat flux subject to injection and suction is examined. The boundary layer equations are transformed to ordinary differential equations, containing an injection parameter I, velocity exponent parameter M, heat flux exponent parameter and Prandtl number .
