The effect of moving metal wall on microwave heating uniformity
In this paper, the phase of electromagnetic field distribution in the cavity is regulated through movements of the metal wall of a rectangular waveguide, which can avoid the inhomogeneous heating caused by the uneven distribution of electromagnetic field

HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS ON BASE OF HEAT SINK WITH UNIFORM HEAT GENERATION
The present work describes the important results of problem of combined conduction, convection and radiation from a rectangular heat sink base subjected to uniform internal heat generation in its base. The governing equations for temperature distribution within the base are obtained by a relevant energy balance between rate of heat generation, heat ...

In Situ Micromechanical Study of Bimodal γ′–γ″ Precipitate Assemblies in Ni–Cr–Al–Nb Superalloy
A Ni–Cr–Al–Nb superalloy with a bimodal γ′–γ″ precipitate distribution is developed. Composite precipitate assemblies form through heterogeneous nucleation, effectively impeding dislocation motion. Micropillar compression reveals high strength at room and elevated temperatures, governed by precipitate shearing, with coupled faulting mechanisms ...

Cathodic Cage Plasma Deposition of Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se Coatings on Poly(methyl Methacrylate)
Nanostructured Cu–Fe–Se coatings are deposited on PMMA by a modified cathodic cage plasma process, enabling low‐temperature deposition on polymer substrates. A transition from discontinuous to compact morphology is observed with temperature, with optimal properties at 200°C, where improved CuFeSe2‐type bonding, lowest sheet resistance, and favorable ...

Nondestructive Testing of Welded Composite Metal Foams
X‐ray computed tomography (CT) is used to evaluate welded steel–steel composite metal foam (CMF) joints of two density classes. It reports variation in postweld spatial void distribution and correlates it to weld‐induced changes, mechanical performance, and failure within welded CMF panels.
