TLM with Heaviside step functions instead of impulses
The transmission line matrix (TLM) technique is shown to work equally well with Heaviside step functions rather than traditional Dirac impulse functions, without significant algorithmic changes, giving an arguably more intuitive and physically more reasonable model.

The problem of calculating the stress relaxation of nonlinear viscoelastic materials under one-step deformation is considered. The loading program is implemented using the unit Heaviside function. To describe the deformation process, a nonlinear creep model with time-independent nonlinearity of the Rabotnov model type is used.
