Comparison of DeePMD, MTP, GAP, ACE and MACE Machine‐Learned Potentials for Radiation‐Damage Simulations: A User Perspective

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
The authors evaluated six machine‐learned interatomic potentials for simulating threshold displacement energies and tritium diffusion in LiAlO2 essential for tritium production. Trained on the same density functional theory data and benchmarked against traditional models for accuracy, stability, displacement energies, and cost, Moment Tensor Potential ...

Implications for compact stars of a soft nuclear equation of state from heavy-ion data

open access: yes, 2012
We study the implications on compact star properties of a soft nuclear equation of state determined from kaon production at subthreshold energies in heavy-ion collisions.

Accelerating Discovery of Organic Molecular Crystals via Materials Informatics and Autonomous Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Materials informatics and autonomous experimentation are transforming the discovery of organic molecular crystals. This review presents an integrated molecule–crystal–function–optimization workflow combining machine learning, crystal structure prediction, and Bayesian optimization with robotic platforms.

GIANT RESONANCES IN HEAVY ION COLLISIONS

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1984
We discuss isovector giant dipole resonances built on high spin states observed in fusion reactions. We reproduce the main feature of the experimental data from the analysis of scaling solutions for out-of-phase small oscillations of two Vlasov fluids in a rotating frame. We consider also the problem of subthreshold π-production in heavy ion collisions.

Charmed signatures for phase transitions in heavy-ion collisions

open access: yes, 2007
The interplay of charmonium production and suppression in In+In and Pb+Pb reactions at 158 AGeV and in Au+Au reactions at sqrt(s)=200 GeV is investigated with the HSD transport approach within the hadronic comover model' and the QGP melting scenario ...

Measurement of spin-orbital angular momentum interactions in relativistic heavy-ion collisions

open access: yes, 2019
The first measurement of spin alignment of vector mesons ($\rm K^{*0}$ and $\phi$) in heavy-ion collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is reported.

An Experimental Review on Heavy-Flavor v2 in Heavy-Ion Collision

open access: yesAdvances in High Energy Physics, 2016
For over a decade now, the primary purpose of relativistic heavy-ion collisions at the Relativistic Heavy-Ion Collider (RHIC) and the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) has been to study the properties of QCD matter under extreme conditions—high temperature and
