Apatite in Carbonatite Preserving Primary Magmatic, Post‐Magmatic Overgrowth, and Post India‐Asia Collision‐Related Hydrothermal Alteration: Evidenced From U–Pb Isotope and Trace Element Geochemistry

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
U–Pb isotope and trace element geochemistry of apatite from carbonatites of Peshawar Plain Alkaline Igneous Province, western Himalaya shows Permo‐Carboniferous magmatism, an additional magmatic pulse during Cretaceous, and post‐magmatic hydrothermal/metasomatism during Oligocene. ABSTRACT U–Pb isotope and trace element geochemistry of apatite combined

A multiplex interactome of Ebola virus proteins reveals TM9SF2 as a cell‐surface attachment factor that promotes viral entry

open access: yesiMetaOmics, EarlyView.
This study generates a comprehensive Ebola virus (EBOV)‐human protein–protein interactome, comprising 1728 core high‐confidence interactions. Further interactome analysis revealed the potential association of EBOV glycoprotein (GP) with the host factor TM9SF2. Subsequent mechanistic investigations confirmed that TM9SF2 functions as an attachment factor

"Jets" and their distortion in heavy-ion collisions

open access: yes, 2009
After a discussion on the meaning of "jets" in the context of nucleus-nucleus collisions, the distortions of the profile of a parton shower induced by the presence of a medium is investigated in a QCD-inspired model that implements the conservation of energy at each step of the shower evolution.

Enhanced peripheral blood mononuclear cell lipid metabolism drives poor immunotherapy response via ferroptotic stress‐induced T cell exhaustion in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Integrated multi‐omics reveals that CD36‐mediated lipid overload in PBMCs drives T cell exhaustion via sub‐lethal ferroptotic stress and AKT suppression. This systemic metabolic signature serves as a robust predictor of immunotherapy response in HCC, suggesting that modulating lipid metabolism can rescue immune fitness.

Boosting the Photoluminescence of Au@Cu12 Nanoclusters via Strategic Fluorine‐Atom Ligand‐Shell Engineering

open access: yesJournal of the Chinese Chemical Society, EarlyView.
The photophysical performance of gold‐doped copper‐rich nanoclusters can be tuned by surface functionalization. Subtle ligand modification enhances intermolecular interactions, thereby reducing nonradiative decay and markedly improving photoluminescence. Comparative photographs and quantum yield values (Φ = 55% vs.

Ion Activation Methods for Top‐Down Proteomics

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Mass spectrometry (MS) has emerged as a premier method used to characterize the sequences of proteins. Top‐down proteomics aims to capture the multiple sources of structural diversity reflected in proteins, such as those that arise from alternative RNA splicing events or the addition of post‐translational modifications. Tandem MS (i.e., MS/MS)

Recent Advances (2023–2025) of Capillary Electrophoresis‐Mass Spectrometry (CE‐MS) for Top‐Down Proteomics

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Top‐down proteomics (TDP) characterizes proteoforms in cells, tissues, and biofluids, in discovery mode and on a global scale, requiring analytical tools with high peak capacity for proteoform separation and high sensitivity for proteoform detection, given the extremely high proteoform complexity and wide proteoform concentration dynamic range.

Recent Advances in Top‐Down Proteomics for Single‐Cell Research

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Individual cells have distinctive molecular characteristics, including biologically relevant proteoforms. Although single‐cell (SC) molecular omics offer unprecedented insights into cellular heterogeneity and function, the characterization of proteoforms in SCs remains an uncharted territory.
