This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Studies of seasonal changes in heavy metal contamination in three shorebird species at Teesmouth, North east England [PDF]
Concentrations of lead, cadmium, copper, and zinc were measured in kidney and liver tissues of three species of shorebirds that winter on the industrial River Tees estuary: Sanderling, Calidris alba; Ringed Plover, Charadrius hiatacula; and Grey Plover,

Graphene modified Salen ligands for the electrochemical determination of heavy metal ions [PDF]
>Magister Scientiae - MScEnvironmental pollution is a major threat to all life, which needs to be addressed. Heavy metals are well-known environmental pollutants due to their toxicity and, persistence in the environment toxicity for living organisms and ...

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Diet and heavy metal uptake by two top predator species in the Tees Estuary [PDF]
The key aim of the thesis was to estimate metal uptake and its seasonal variation from the diet by two predators from the Tees Estuary, harbour seals, Phoca vitulina and cormorants, Phalacrocorax carbo.

Race and gender in globalized and postmodern metal
Heavy metal har blivit ett globalt och postmodernt fenomen, medan de teorier som används för att förrstå det har starka kopplingar till Västeuropa och USA under perioden slutet av 1960-talet till början av 1990-talet.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.
