Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF THE WATER DEPLETED OF HEAVY ISOTOPES [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry Journal of Moldova: General, Industrial and Ecological Chemistry, 2012
Data on physicochemical properties of the light water (deuterium concentration is reduced to the ratio D/H = 4 ppm and that of the isotope of oxygen 18 – to the ratio 18O/16O = 750 ppm) have been obtained.

Efficient Optimization of Gluconobacter oxydans Based on Protein Scaffold-Trimeric CutA to Enhance the Chemical Structure Stability of Enzymes for the Direct Production of 2-Keto-L-gulonic Acid

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, 2020
2-Keto-L-gulonic acid (2-KLG), the direct precursor of vitamin C, is produced by a two-step fermentation route from D-sorbitol in industry. However, this route is a complicated mix-culture system which involves three bacteria.

Enhancing Corrosion Resistance and Mechanical Strength of 3D‐Printed Iron Polylactic Acid for Marine Applications via Laser Surface Texturing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser surface texturing significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical strength of 3D‐printed iron polylactic acid (Ir‐PLA) for marine applications. Optimal laser parameters reduce corrosion by 80% and enhance tensile strength by 25% and ductility by 15%.

Measurement of the Cadmium Ratio in Esfahan Heavy Water Zero Power Reactor and Comparison of the Values Obtained in Two Different Pitches [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2017
Measurement of cadmium ratio is one of the basic parameters in nuclear reactors. In this paper, the amount of cadmium ratio for the Esfahan Heavy Water Zero Power Reactor (EHWZPR) in two pitches of 18 and 20cm have been measured.

Compressible Flow Exfoliation of Two‐Dimensional Nanomaterials: Insights Into Layer Separation Informed by Gas Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study elucidates the mechanism of compressible flow exfoliation for producing 2D hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN). Fluid dynamics analysis reveals that acceleration‐driven aerodynamic shear forces, rather than shock waves alone, drive effective layer separation.
