Application of the HEC-HMS hydrological model in the Beht watershed (Morocco) [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2021
This work focused on the collection and preparation of the data required for the hydrological modelling of the Beht catchment area, which covers an area of 4560 km2 with a perimeter of 414 km, by combining the various spatial technologies, in particular geographical information systems (GIS), remote sensing, and digital terrain models (DTM), with ...

FLOOD MODELLING OF RIAM KIWA WATERSHED USING HEC-HMS

open access: yesJurnal Arsip Rekayasa Sipil dan Perencanaan, 2023
At the end of 2021 to early 2022 several areas in Banjar Regency were flooded. This incident had a major impact on the surrounding area and became a national concern. One of the causes of the disaster was high-intensity rainfall which caused the water in the Riam Kiwa River to overflow. HEC-HMS software was used to simulate the designed flood discharge.

The effect of karst system occurrence on flood peaks in small watersheds, southwest China

open access: yesHydrology Research, 2021
Flooding at small basins is characterized by weak predictability, sudden onset, and rapid disaster formation, especially in karst areas. Therefore, an accurate flood simulation will be helpful for flood control and disaster reduction.

Calibration and Validation of HEC-HMS Model for Chalakudy River Basin

open access: yesInternational Journal of Environment and Climate Change, 2021
Prediction of flood prone areas in a basin and evolution of the impact of climate change on water resources needs a correct estimation of the availability of water which will solely be achieved by hydrological modelling of the basin. However, modelling the hydrology of a basin is a complex task and models should be well calibrated to increase user ...
