Forming Probably Stable Communities with Limited Interactions
A community needs to be partitioned into disjoint groups; each community member has an underlying preference over the groups that they would want to be a member of. We are interested in finding a stable community structure: one where no subset of members

History Based Coalition Formation in Hedonic Context Using Trust
In this paper we address the problem of coalition formation in hedonic context. Our modelling tries to be as realistic as possible. In previous models, once an agent joins a coalition it would not be able to leave the coalition and join the new one; in ...

A study of sybil manipulations in hedonic games
Hedonic games model agents that decide which other agents they will join, given some preferences on other agents. We study Sybil attacks on such games, by a malicious agent which introduces multiple false identities, so that the outcome of the game is more interesting for itself.

Stable Coalition Structures in Simple Games with Veto Control [PDF]
In this paper we study hedonic coalition formation games in which players' preferences over coalitions are induced by a semi-value of a monotonic simple game with veto control. We consider partitions of the player set in which the winning coalition ...

Government versus opposition: Who should be who in the 16th German Bundestag? [PDF]
We model the process of coalition formation in the 16th German Bundestag as a hedonic coalition formation game. In order to induce players' preferences in the game we apply the Shapley value of the simple game describing all winning coalitions in the ...

Stability in Random Hedonic Games
Partitioning a large group of employees into teams can prove difficult because unsatisfied employees may want to transfer to other teams. In this case, the team (coalition) formation is unstable and incentivizes deviation from the proposed structure. Such a coalition formation scenario can be modeled in the framework of hedonic games and a significant ...

ABSTRACT From 2006 until 2020, the probability of selling a house in the U.S. declined sharply after listing for 2 weeks. Moreover, sales within the first 2 weeks of listing (“quick sales”) and sales happening afterward (“slow sales”) behaved differently over the housing cycle.

Coalition formation in simple games: The semistrict core [PDF]
We consider the class of proper monotonic simple games and study coalition formation when an exogenous share vector and a solution concept are combined to guide the distribution of coalitional worth.
