A Multivariate Method for Dynamic System Analysis: Multivariate Detrended Fluctuation Analysis Using Generalized Variance

open access: yesTopics in Cognitive Science, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Fractal fluctuations are a core concept for inquiries into human behavior and cognition from a dynamic systems perspective. Here, we present a generalized variance method for multivariate detrended fluctuation analysis (mvDFA). The advantage of this extension is that it can be applied to multivariate time series and considers intercorrelation ...

Projective Representations of the Inhomogeneous Hamilton Group: Noninertial Symmetry in Quantum Mechanics

open access: yes, 2011
Symmetries in quantum mechanics are realized by the projective representations of the Lie group as physical states are defined only up to a phase. A cornerstone theorem shows that these representations are equivalent to the unitary representations of the

The logarithmic Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group and applications to the uncertainty inequality and heat equation

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications
We consider the logarithmic Sobolev inequality on the Heisenberg group. One can derive the logarithmic Sobolev inequality from the Sobolev inequality, and we consider an application to the uncertainty inequality on the Heisenberg group. Moreover, one can

Benedicks’ theorem for the Heisenberg group [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2010
If $f$ is a compactly supported function on the Heisenberg group and the group Fourier transform $\hat{f}( )$ is a finite rank operator for all $ $ then $f$ is the zero function.

Spontaneous Strain‐Spin Transition Coupling Molecular Crystal with Thermal Magnetic Memory Effect, Anisotropic High‐κ and Switchable Dielectric Permittivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A radical salt undergoes a paraelastic‐ferroelastic phase transition, which is coupled with spin‐Peierls transition, resulting in it integrating self‐strain, spin bistability, switchable dielectric and high‐ properties. Abstract Materials that exhibit controllable changes in electrical, magnetic, or spontaneous strain properties, particularly those ...

Monogenic Functions and Representations of Nilpotent Lie Groups in Quantum Mechanics

open access: yes, 1998
We describe several different representations of nilpotent step two Lie groups in spaces of monogenic Clifford valued functions. We are inspired by the classic representation of the Heisenberg group in the Segal-Bargmann space of holomorphic functions ...

Imprinting Electrically Switchable Scalar Spin Chirality by Anisotropic Strain in a Kagome Antiferromagnet

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
It is shown that anisotropic strain offers a novel approach to control the magnetic ground state in heterostructures of a Kagome antiferromagnet, unlocking new functionalities. This strain induces finite scalar spin chirality, resulting in a pronounced Berry curvature in momentum space, leading to room‐temperature anomalous Hall effect.

Umbilic hypersurfaces of constant sigma-k curvature in the Heisenberg group

open access: yes, 2015
We study immersed, connected, umbilic hypersurfaces in the Heisenberg group $H_{n}$ with $n$ $\geq $ $2.$ We show that such a hypersurface, if closed, must be rotationally invariant up to a Heisenberg translation.

Construction of Frames on the Heisenberg Groups

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, 2020
In this paper, we present a construction of frames on the Heisenberg group without using the Fourier transform. Our methods are based on the Calderón-Zygmund operator theory and Coifman’s decomposition of the identity operator on the Heisenberg group ...
