7,7-Dichlorobicyclo [3.2.0]heptan-6-one was prepared by adding dichloroketene to cyclopentene. Reduction of 7,7-dichlorobicyclo[3.2.0]heptan-6-one with Zn in acetic acid afforded the bicyclo[3.2.0]heptan-6-one.
