Life analysis of helical gear sets using Lundberg-Palmgren theory [PDF]
A mathematical model is developed for surface fatigue life of helical gears. The expected fatigue life of a pinion, gear, or gear set may be calculated from the model. An equation for the dynamic capacity of a gear set was also derived.

Artificial Organs, EarlyView.Cardiac surgery in neonates requires close placement of cardiopulmonary bypass machines due to limited blood volume, complicating MR compatibility. This study introduces three MR‐conditional blood pump prototypes. None interfered with MRI imaging, though RF‐related sensor effects remain untested.
