LARGE-SCALE COSMOLOGICAL MAGNETIC FIELDS AND MAGNETIC HELICITY
International Journal of Modern Physics D, 2005Role of cosmological magnetic field and cosmological magnetic helicity for astrophysics is considered. We discuss possible mechanisms for cosmological magnetic field production in the early universe as well as upper observational estimate for such field.

Helical magnetic fields in filaments
Solar Physics, 1994For both even and odd-numbered solar cycles, right-hand heliform filaments predominate at middle and high latitudes in the northern hemisphere while left-handed ones predominate in the south. This recent discovery has prompted a re-examination of past measurements of magnetic fields in prominences. This re-examination indicates that Rust (1967), in his

Helical winding’s magnetic field in power transformers
Electrical Engineering, 2009Helical winding is typically used for low voltage and high current winding of large generator transformers. Due to its distinct design (spiral form, small number of turns and high current), some additional eddy-current losses may be expected. Differences in magnetic field produced by helical and cylinder windings are presented in this paper.

Field configurations in Helical magnetic wigglers
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1990We consider the field configuration produced in a system of two intercalcated concentric coils of radius a and pitch Λ carrying currents in opposite directions (magnetic wigglers). The magnetic field and vector potential inside are obtained exactly at the coils axis and in a multipole-type expansion off the axis.

Quadratic helicity and cosmological magnetic fields
International Journal of Geometric Methods in Modern Physics, 2020In this work, the quadratic helicity [Formula: see text] is discussed from the physical and topological points of view. We show, after the introduction of a mathematical description of the properties of helicity and quadratic helicity in the context of standard dynamo equations, examples of the importance of these high invariants in cosmological ...

Helical Magnetic Fields in AGN Jets
Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 2014We establish a simple model to describe the helical magnetic fields in AGN jets projected on the sky plane and the line-of-sight. This kind of profile has been detected in the polarimetric VLBI observation of many blazar objects, suggesting the existence of helical magnetic fields in these sources.

Extragalactic Jets with Helical Magnetic Fields
2009Extragalactic jets harbor dynamically important, organized magnetic fields. We explore with grid-adaptive, high resolution numerical simulations the morphology of AGN jets pervaded by helical field and flow topologies. We concentrate on the long term evolution of kinetic energy dominated jets, penetrating denser clouds. The jets have near-equipartition

Maxwellian field expansion of helical magnet
Proceedings of the 1997 Particle Accelerator Conference (Cat. No.97CH36167), 2002Three dimensional (3D) magnetic field calculated by the computer code TOSCA was analyzed including the fringing field region. The magnetic field in the median plane was well simulated by a simple function. Off median plane, contributions from the coils should be taken into account.
