Gut microbiota and its therapeutic implications in tumor microenvironment interactions

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology
The development of cancer is not just the growth and proliferation of a single transformed cell, but its tumor microenvironment (TME) also coevolves with it, which is primarily involved in tumor initiation, development, metastasis, and therapeutic ...

Functional Materials Targeted Regulation of Gasdermins: From Fundamentals to Functionalities and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeted regulation of pyroptosis to modulate the immune landscape is a novel design strategy for cancer immunotherapy and anti‐inflammatory treatment. Pyroptosis, as a double‐edged sword, underscores the importance of optimizing the design strategy of functional materials and appropriately activating pyroptosis for the effective treatment of diseases.

Synergistic Effects of Nanoparticle Heating and Amoxicillin on H. Pylori Inhibition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We report the design and development of a dual-functional magnetic nanoparticle platform for potential treatment of H. pylori infection. We show that an ultralow concentration of Mn0.3Fe2.7O4@SiO2 nanoparticles subjected to a moderate AC magnetic field, without bulk heating effect, can deposit heat locally and effectively inhibit H.
