This is a rebuttal of a previous article "Perspective on the Public Good" written in this journal by R.J. Perkins criticizing an earlier study done by the authors of the present analysis. These authors now attempt to show that, contrary to Perkins' statements, their previous conclusion accurately describes the consequences of repealing helmet use laws.
