Satellite RNA (satRNA) is the supernumerary RNA of some viruses. It typically shares no nucleotide homology with its helper virus and depends on its helper virus for replication and encapsidation (Simon et al. 2004).

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Insect vector-mediated transmission of plant viruses.
The majority of plant-infecting viruses are transmitted to their host plants by vectors. The interactions between viruses and vector vary in duration and specificity but some common themes in vector transmission have emerged: 1) plant viruses encode ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Transposase-Mediated Construction of an Integrated Adeno-Associated Virus Type 5 Helper Plasmid
Adeno-associated viruses (AAVs) are replication-defective parvoviruses that require helper virus functions for efficient productive replication. The AAVs are currently premier candidates as vectors for human gene therapy applications. In particular, much

Bamboo mosaic virus satellite RNA can move autonomously in a fibrillarin-dependent manner in the absence of its helper virus in Nicotiana benthamiana. RNA trafficking plays pivotal roles in regulating plant development, gene silencing, and adaptation to ...

RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.
