The effects of several operative parameters on the grafting of selected grafting agents on a polyamide six (PA6) fiber surface

open access: yesJournal of Applied Biomaterials & Functional Materials, 2022
The previous research showed the anti-biofouling improvement of the polyamide six (PA6) fiber when grafted by 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) individually, and in combination with acrylic acid (AA) known as dual monomers system. The effects of several

Isolation of a Complex Formed Between Acinetobacter baumannii HemA and HemL, Key Enzymes of Tetrapyrroles Biosynthesis

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences, 2019
Plants, algae and most bacteria synthesize 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA), the universal precursor of tetrapyrroles such as heme, chlorophyll and coenzyme B12, by a two-step transformation involving the NADPH-dependent glutamyl-tRNA reductase (HemA), which ...

Cloning of the Rhodobacter capsulatus hemA gene [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1988
Portions of the Rhodobacter capsulatus hemA gene have been cloned from a hemA::Tn5 insertion strain into the lambda bacteriophage derivative EMBL3. A cosmid containing the wild-type R. capsulatus hemA gene was isolated by complementation of the hemA::Tn5 mutant.
