Combined supplementation of Pediococcus acidilactici and an inactivated H9N2 influenza vaccine synergistically promotes immune modulation, gut health and growth performance in broiler chickens. The co‐treatment significantly upregulates pro‐ and anti‐inflammatory cytokines (IL‐1, IL‐6, TNF‐α, IL‐10), enhances PBMC viability, and increases antibody ...

Broilers fed diets contaminated with 200 µg/kg AFB1 showed poor growth performance throughout the period. These adverse effects of aflatoxicosis may be associated with liver dysfunction, immune dysfunction and inflammation of immune organs. However, supplementation of 1 g/kg MAG counteracted the negative effects caused by AFB1, reducing liver ...

Separation of Hemagglutinating and Non-Hemagglutinating Variants of Coxsackie A-21 Virus
SummaryCoxsackie A-21 virus (strain 48560) lost the capacity to agglutinate human erythrocytes after passage in KB or HeLa cell cultures. Hemagglutinin could be retained by passage at high dilution in such cells. By adsorption onto erythrocytes it was possible to separate distinct hemagglutinating (HA+) and non-hemagglutinating (HA-) particles.
