The authors report a case of subacute spinal subdural hematoma in a patient with ankylosing spondylitis. Only 18 such cases have been reported in the nonradiological literature. Early diagnosis is imperative in order to minimize neurological sequelae.

A case is presented in which Escherichia coli seeded a pre-existing chronic subdural hematoma. A 77-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital because of lethargy, left hemiparesis and fever. Drainage through a burr hole was performed with the diagnosis of bilateral chronic subdural hematoma.

Subdural Hematoma in the Elderly
Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America, 1990The presentation of subdural hematoma is often more subtle in the elderly than in younger patients, due in part to cerebral atrophy and in part to the interaction with other medical conditions to which the elderly are prone. With the advent of computed tomography, the diagnosis of subdural hematoma has become easier and noninvasive. This improvement in

Intrauterine subdural hematoma
Pediatric Radiology, 2000A patient with neonatal macrocephaly due to bilateral chronic subdural hematoma is presented. There was no history of intrauterine trauma or coagulopathy. Such patients are apparently rare. The pathogenesis of intrauterine chronic subdural hematoma in such patients is unclear.

Interhemispheric subdural hematoma
The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1986A case of interhemispheric subdural hematoma (ISH) following closed head injury is reported. Our patient had seizures and mental status changes. Cranial computed tomography (CT) demonstrated areas of increased density along the right side of the falx cerebri and over the right leaf of the tentorium cerebelli.
