Deep cervical lymphatic–venous anastomosis attenuates cognitive dysfunction and biomarker abnormalities in severe Alzheimer's disease: A prospective single‐arm study

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION This study evaluated the efficacy of deep cervical lymphatic–venous anastomosis (dcLVA) for severe Alzheimer's disease (AD). METHODS A total of 139 severe AD patients undergoing dcLVA were enrolled, and changes in cognitive function and biomarkers were evaluated by comparing preoperative measures with postoperative outcomes over a

Technical Notes and Result of Stereotactic Evacuation of Hematoma in Spontaneous Supratentorial Intracerebral Hematoma

open access: yesNepal Journal of Neuroscience, 2018
Primary intracerebral hematoma constitutes about 10-15% of all strokes and is associated with high mortality and severe disability. Surgical treatment of intracerebral hemorrhage is quite controversial.

Association of the Stress Hyperglycemia Ratio and Prognosis After Endovascular Treatment: A Systematic Review and Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 2, February 2026.
A comprehensive electronic literature search was performed in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and the Cochrane Library following the PRISMA guidelines. After screening by pre‐defined inclusion/exclusion criteria and methodological quality assessment using the Newcastle–Ottawa Scale (NOS), 10 eligible studies involving 3646 LVO‐AIS patients who received

EARLY AND LATE MORTALITY OF SPONTANEOUS HEMORRHAGIC TRANSFORMATION OF ISCHEMIC STROKE [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
BACKGROUND: Hemorrhagic transformation (HT), a complication of ischemic stroke (IS), might influence patient's prognosis. Our aim is to evaluate, in a hospital-based series of patients not treated with thrombolysis, the relationship between HT and ...

Pachymic Acid Targets PI3K/Akt Signaling Pathway to Attenuate tPA‐Induced Hemorrhagic Transformation After Ischemic Stroke

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 2, February 2026.
Pachymic acid protects blood–brain barrier (BBB) integrity by decreasing the degradation of tight junction proteins caused by tissue plasminogen activator (tPA). Pachymic acid activates the PI3K/Akt pathway via direct binding to PI3K protein, mitigating BBB damage and hemorrhagic transformation induced by tPA after ischemic stroke.

Red Blood Cell Glycation Triggers In Vivo Cerebral Erythrophagocytosis in Adult Zebrafish in a Model Mimicking Hemorrhagic Stroke

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 1, February 2026.
In zebrafish, glycated RBCs promoted increased erythrophagocytic activity in microglia/macrophages, revealing a potential mechanism linking diabetes‐induced RBC glycation to exacerbated inflammatory responses and secondary damage after ICH. ABSTRACT Hemorrhagic stroke, particularly intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), is a highly lethal subtype of stroke ...
