Fan-Hemicontinuity for the gradient of the norm in Hilbert space
Mathematica Slovaca, 2022Abstract It was claimed in [Sadeqi, I.—Salehi Paydar, M.: A comparative study of Ky Fan hemicontinuity and Brezis pseudomonotonicity of mappings and existence results, J. Optim. Theory Appl. 165(2) (2015), 344–358] that the gradient of a convex Gâteaux differentiable function is Fanhemicontinuous.

Let \((X,X^*)\) be a dual pair with \(X\) being a reflexive real Banach space. Let \(K\) be a nonempty subset of \(X\). A map \(A:K \rightarrow X^*\) is called Brezis-pseudomonotone if the function \(u \mapsto (Au,u-v)\) is lower bounded on bounded subsets of \(K\) for all \(v \in K\) and, for any sequence \(\{u_n\}\) weakly convergent to \(u \in K ...

Upper hemicontinuity of the correspondence of subgame-perfect equilibrium outcomes
Journal of Mathematical Economics, 1991A topology for a class of multistage games is introduced. Some properties of this topology are studied. In particular it is shown that all multistage games can be approximated by finite multistage games. The main result then says that the correspondence mapping multistage games into their subgame-perfect equilibrium outcomes is upper hemicontinuous ...

Minimal conditions for upper-hemicontinuity of the choice correspondence
Journal of Economic Theory, 1978Abstract We denote by ϕ(M, r) the set of all maximal elements in the constraint set M with respect to a (partial) order r and find the coarsest topologies on the domain of ϕ such that ϕ is u.h.c.

Fan-hemicontinuity for the gradient of the norm in several reflexive Banach spaces
Topological Methods in Nonlinear AnalysisThe present study approaches variational inequalities governed by Fan-hemicontinuous operators. The Fan-hemicontinuity was recently proved (\cite{bogdan:hemicontinuity}) for the gradient of the norm defined on its scalarly-positive, closed convex subdomain of a Hilbert space.
