Prevalence and Correlates of Suicidal Distress in Adolescents in a Chronic Pain Service

open access: yesPaediatric and Neonatal Pain, Volume 8, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Chronic pain is increasingly recognized as an independent correlate of suicidality in adolescence, yet most evidence comes from community‐based studies. This observational, cross‐sectional study (NCT04261114) explored the prevalence and correlates of suicidal distress in a pediatric pain service.

Developing a Comprehensive Model for Explaining Treatment Adherence Behaviour: Evidence From the International Beamer Consortium

open access: yesPublic Health Challenges, Volume 5, Issue 4, December 2026.
This study developed and validated a comprehensive model of treatment adherence behaviour using survey data from 4081 participants across six countries. The measurement instruments demonstrated good reliability and validity, and the model explained 22.6%–38.5% of the variance in treatment adherence behaviour with most relationships being statistically ...

Real‐Time Neurochemical Sensing in Zebrafish: Electrochemical and Fluorescent Approaches

open access: yesAnalysis &Sensing, Volume 6, Issue 6, November 2026.
The use of zebrafish has emerged as a powerful approach for real‐time neurochemical measurements. This review highlights recent advances in electrochemical and fluorescent sensing strategies that enable dynamic measurements in live preparations of this complex vertebrate. These complementary approaches provide new insights into neurochemical signaling,

COVID‐19 Vaccination and the Risk of Migraine Chronification: A Comparative Cohort Study of Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Patients With Episodic Migraine

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 16, Issue 11, November 2026.
In a controlled cohort of 60 patients with episodic migraine, migraine chronification over 6 months did not differ significantly between 30 vaccinated and 30 unvaccinated individuals. A chronic‐frequency outcome was numerically lower after vaccination, but the confidence intervals were wide, so neither harm nor benefit can be confirmed.
