The operation and mechanization of the hemispherical resonator gyroscope

2018 IEEE/ION Position, Location and Navigation Symposium (PLANS), 2018
The Hemispherical Resonator Gyro (HRG) is unique in the area of high accuracy inertial sensors. One of its very first selected applications was on the Cassini mission to Saturn, its Rings, and Moons. Since that time it has been the chosen gyro technology for precision space missions both military and commercial.

On bifurcation in dynamics of hemispherical resonator gyroscope

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2018
A mathematical model of wave solid-state gyro (HRG) are constructed. Wave pattern of resonant oscillations was studied applying normal form method. We calculate the Birkhoff-Gustavson normal form of unterturbed system.

Fuzzy Phase Trajectories in Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscopes

Herald of the Bauman Moscow State Technical University. Series Instrument Engineering, 2021
The paper considers elementary fuzzy oscillator models represented by hard and fuzzy second-order differential equations with hard and fuzzy initial conditions. Linear models describe wave processes in ring resonators of hemispherical resonator gyroscopes. We show that in the case 1 (a hard model with fuzzy initial conditions), when there is no internal

Analysis of hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna

Radio Science, 1993
This paper describes the analysis of a hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna fed by a coaxial probe. The electric field Green's function of a vertical point current located inside the dielectric hemisphere is derived by mode matching technique. Delta gap source excitation model is employed.

Effect of movability of the resonator center on the operation of a hemispherical resonator gyro

Mechanics of Solids, 2007
It was established in [2] that resonator deformation according to the second mode shape of a thin hemispherical shell results in a displacement of the center of mass if the resonator is unbalanced, i.e., if the distribution of mass over the surface of the hemisphere deviates from axial symmetry. In the same paper, it was shown that this displacement of

Effect of Piezoelectric Transducers on the Resonator Frequencies of a Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscope

Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics, 2019
The boundary problem for the eigenvalues of the electroelasticity equations describing the oscillations of a cylindrical resonator of a hemispherical resonator gyroscope is solved by finite element means. The first ten resonator frequencies are determined under different boundary conditions where PZT-4 ceramics are used as piezoelectric transducers for

Comparison of hemispherical resonator gyro and optical gyros

IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Magazine, 1992
The basic design of the small hemispherical resonator gyro inertial and tactical grade sensors and associated electronics is described. To reduce the cost of the electronics and maintain part per million accuracy, emphasis has been placed on digital control and processing techniques.

Design of rectangular and hemispherical dielectric resonator antenna

2016 International Conference on Communication and Signal Processing (ICCSP), 2016
Dielectric Resonator Antenna covers up the most essential characteristics like high efficiency, large bandwidth, compactness, high gain which are the essential criteria for antenna in today's world. The objective of proposed work is to compare two shapes of DRA, called Rectangular DRA and Hemispherical DRA. The change in result in both the shape of DRA

Coupling between waveguide and hemispherical open resonator

2010 IEEE 11th Annual Wireless and Microwave Technology Conference (WAMICON), 2010
The hemispherical open resonator feeding by the rectangular waveguide was analyzed by using the modal analysis method. The open resonator was excited by the rectangular waveguide through a narrow slot, with a complete analysis of all the relevant modes in the waveguide and the open resonator, the coupling coefficients according to the difference width ...
