Methemoglobin and Sulfhemoglobin Levels in Students of Walailak University
Methemoglobin (MHb) and Sulfhemoglobin (SHb) are abnormal oxygen-carrying protein hemoglobins (Hbs) in blood circulation which can be used to represent the degree of pollution in the surrounding environment including air, food and drinks.

Down Selection of Polymerized Bovine Hemoglobins for Use as Oxygen Releasing Therapeutics in a Guinea Pig Model [PDF]
Editor's Highlight: The development of hemoglobin-based oxygen carriers (HBOCs) as a replacement for whole-blood transfusions has been impeded by their systemic toxicity.

The mechanism of secondary cognitive impairment following AKI. When renal ischemic injury progresses to fibrosis, renal fibroblasts and damaged tubular cells secrete MDK, which circulates through the bloodstream, crosses the damaged BBB, and accumulates in the hippocampus tissue (an area crucial for learning and memory).

Quantitation of Some Abnormal Hemoglobins
Abstract A method is presented for identification and quantitation of abnormal hemoglobins. Electrophoretic fractionation with cellulose acetate is followed by elution of each fraction into Drabkin's solution. In the presence of Drabkin's solution hemoglobin is converted to cyanmethemoglobin and measured in any standard photometer at 540

A novel haemoglobin variant mimicking cyanotic congenital heart disease [PDF]
Screening for critical congenital heart defects in newborn babies can aid in early recognition, with the prospect of improved outcome. However, as this universal newborn screening is implemented, there will be an increasing number of false-positive ...

A novel bimetallic nanozyme (Fe2–NCs) with well‐defined Fe–Fe active sites is synthesized through a host–guest coordination strategy, which exhibits an exceptional therapeutic efficacy in osteoarthritis therapy. Experimental and theoretical analyses uncover the intrinsic catalytic mechanism at the atomic level, offering fundamental insights and design ...

This study examines major depressive disorder with atypical features and psychotic symptoms through a multi‐omics precision medicine approach. By integrating clinical assessments, WBC scRNA‐seq, plasma proteomics, and brain organoid models, it uncovers immune dysregulation, synaptic protein alterations, and stress‐sensitive neuronal changes.

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing of Thyroid Tissues Reveals Pathogenesis of Graves' Disease
Using single‐cell RNA sequencing and TCR profiling, this study constructed an immune cell atlas in thyroid tissue of Graves’ disease (GD), revealing dominant IFN‐γ‐secreting CD4+ T cells, expanded Tph and CD11c+ B cells, and enriched T/NK cells. Notably, GD thyroid follicular cells (TFCs) activated γδ T cells, which recruited cDC1 cells, suggesting a ...
