Mytilus edulis hemolymph contain prodynorphin

Immunology Letters, 1998
We have characterized a prodynorphin (prodyn) molecule in hemocytes and hemolymph of the bivalve mollusk Mytilus edulis. The ca. 16-kDa protein was purified by cut-off filtration prepurification, anti-leucine-enkephalin affinity column separation followed by reversed-phase HPLC.

Studies on hemolymph nodes. I. Histology of the renal hemolymph node of the rat.

Journal of anatomy, 1982
The structure of the left renal hemolymph node of young adult male Swiss albino rats has been studied by optical microscopy of semithin plastic embedded sections. Afferent lymphatics were found, opening into the subcapsular sinus through valved ostia, in a large majority of nodes.

Hemolymph Clotting in Insects

1986
Hemolymph clotting in insects has been reviewed repeatedly over the last 15 years [20,31,32,33,35,59]. These reviews reflect the situation of clotting research in insects. The overwhelming majority of investigations was mainly concerned with the cytological aspects of clotting: which type of hemocyte cells is engaged in clotting, and how the structure ...
