COVID-19 and Hepatic Artery Thrombosis: A Case Report. [PDF]
BACKGROUND Hypercoagulable states, including venous and arterial thromboses, manifesting as pulmonary thromboembolism or stroke have been observed in COVID-19; recently, gastrointestinal thrombotic events have also been reported. This case report describes a patient with COVID-19 and abdominal pain, who developed coagulopathy and a rare association of ...

Hepatic Artery Vasospasm Masquerading as Hepatic Artery Thrombosis in a Case of Deceased Donor Liver Transplant. [PDF]
Hepatic arterial vasospasm can be a potential vascular complication after liver transplantation and can manifest as hepatic artery thrombosis. Due to the scarcity of literature on this pathology, its incidence, mechanism, relevance, diagnosis, and prognosis remain to be investigated.

Intra-arterial thrombolysis for early hepatic artery thrombosis after liver transplantation. [PDF]
Early hepatic artery thrombosis (E-HAT) is a serious complication after liver transplantation (LT), which often results in graft failure and can lead to patient deaths. Treatments such as re-transplantation and re-anastomosis are conventional therapeutic methods which are restricted by the shortage of donors and the patient's postoperative intolerance ...

A deleterious variant of FCHSD1 results in mTOR pathway overactivation and may cause porto‐sinusoidal vascular disorder (PSVD). The pedigree of the family demonstrated an autosomal dominant disease with variable expressivity. Whole‐genome sequencing and Sanger sequencing both validated the existence of the FCHSD1 variant and the heterozygosity of c ...

Hepatic Artery Reconstruction for Hepatic Artery Thrombosis After Orthotopic Liver Transplantation [PDF]
We evaluated the efficacy of reconstruction of the hepatic artery for intraoperative or postoperative thrombosis in orthotopic liver transplantation. Of 37 grafts with artery thrombosis, 13 (35.1%, 6 intraoperative and 7 postoperative) underwent reconstruction of the hepatic artery. The arterial flow was reestablished and maintained in 5 (38.5%) of the

Ischemic cholangiopathy following hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm with thrombosis
We report the case of a 73-year-old male, with a history of liver cirrhosis secondary to hepatitis C virus (HCV). Due to this condition he underwent a liver transplant (LT) in 1993. From then on he was given immunosuppressive treatment with cyclosporin in monotherapy.
