Expanded NCAM1+EpCAM+ hepatic progenitor cells in biliary atresia are characterized by aggregation of α‐synuclein. This pathological protein potentiates cellular susceptibility to GSH‐dependent redox dyshomeostasis, induces unstable biliary cell fate specification, and subsequently drives aberrant biliary regeneration.

ABSTRACT Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) remains largely incurable due to the blood‐brain barrier (BBB) and immunosuppressive microenvironment. While boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) selectively eradicates tumor cells via 10B(n, α)‐7Li reactions, its clinical potential in GBM is unrealized because of the suboptimal pharmacokinetics of conventional ...

Preoperative CT and survival data for patients undergoing resection of colorectal liver metastases
The liver is a common site for the development of metastases in colorectal cancer. Treatment selection for patients with colorectal liver metastases (CRLM) is difficult; although hepatic resection will cure a minority of CRLM patients, recurrence is ...

Long-term quality of life after hepatic resection: health is not simply the absence of disease [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Due to advances in operative methods and perioperative care, mortality and morbidity following major hepatic resection have decreased substantially, making long-term quality of life (QoL) an increasingly prominent issue.

Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

The effect of routine lymphadenectomy of the hepatic basin on the duration of the liver resection due to colorectal carcinoma metastases [PDF]
Background/Aim. Today, lymphatic metastases are only a relative contraindication for the surgical treatment of colorectal carcinoma (CRC). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of routine lymphadenectomy of the hepatic basin on the duration of
