Mathematical Model and Analysis of Transmission Dynamics of Hepatitis B Virus [PDF]
Hepatitis B is a potentially life-threatening liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). In this paper, the transmission dynamics of hepatitis B is formulated with a mathematical model with considerations of different classes of individuals, namely immunized, susceptible, latent, infected and recovered class.

Chronic hepatitis may be viral or "lupoid" or may be related to drug use, alcoholism, or Wilson's disease. This article outlines the routine and special laboratory investigations that are indicated when the presence of chronic hepatitis is suspected from symptoms referable to the liver or from biochemical or physical abnormalities in an asymptomatic ...

Expression in Escherichia coli of a cloned DNA sequence encoding the pre-S2 region of hepatitis B virus [PDF]
A DNA sequence encoding the entire pre-S2 region (amino acids 120-174; serotype ayw) of human hepatitis B virus envelope protein has been inserted into the lacZ gene of the plasmid pSKS105 yielding a recombinant, pWS3.

Classification of Hepatic Lesions using the Matching Metric [PDF]
In this paper we present a methodology of classifying hepatic (liver) lesions using multidimensional persistent homology, the matching metric (also called the bottleneck distance), and a support vector machine. We present our classification results on a dataset of 132 lesions that have been outlined and annotated by radiologists.

Noisy Labels are Treasure: Mean-Teacher-Assisted Confident Learning for Hepatic Vessel Segmentation [PDF]
Manually segmenting the hepatic vessels from Computer Tomography (CT) is far more expertise-demanding and laborious than other structures due to the low-contrast and complex morphology of vessels, resulting in the extreme lack of high-quality labeled data.
