Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Effectiveness of hepatitis B hyperimmunglobulin and vaccine in preventing perinatal transmission in children born from a mother with chronic B hepatitis

open access: yesZdorovʹe Rebenka, 2021
Background. Viral hepatitis is still one of the important health problems all over the world today. Hepatitis B is a life-threatening liver infection that can cause chronic infections.

Epidemiological patterns of hepatitis B virus (HBV) in highly endemic areas [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This paper uses meta-analysis of published data and a deterministic mathematical model of hepatitis B virus (HBV) transmission to describe the patterns of HBV infection in high endemicity areas.

Immunological and epidemiological effectiveness of pediatric vaccination against hepatitis A using a single dose of inactivated vaccine

open access: yesЖурнал микробиологии, эпидемиологии и иммунобиологии
Hepatitis A is an acute liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV), which can be prevented by means of vaccination. The standard hepatitis A vaccination schedule consists of two doses of inactivated vaccine, but for economic reasons and the ...

Research progress of hepatitis B virus and its vaccine [PDF]

open access: yesBIO Web of Conferences
Hepatitis B is a serious worldwide public health problem with a very high incidence. It is caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV), and vaccination is the primary preventive measure. However, vaccine non-response or weak immune responses remain a challenge.

Lymphoid‐Tissue‐on‐Chip Recapitulates Human Antibody Responses In Vitro

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The presented lymphoid‐tissue‐on‐chip system allows culture of primary human tonsil cells at organotypic high density under perfusion for up to 4 weeks, emulates immune response to soluble vaccines and vaccination via peripheral antigen‐presenting cells and represents a useful tool to assess cellular interactions during homeostasis, immune responses ...

Hepatitis B vaccine birth dose in India: time to reconsider

open access: yesHuman Vaccines & Immunotherapeutics, 2020
Viral hepatitis is increasingly being recognized as a public health problem in India with 96% of all hepatitis mortality attributed to hepatitis B and C combined.

Bioorthogonal Fluorogenic Reporters for Noninvasive Imaging and Urinalysis of Immunotherapeutic Response in Renal Cell Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reported renal‐clearable bio‐orthogonal near‐infrared fluorogenic probes (BGRs) that specifically imaging and urinalysis of granzyme B for dynamic evaluation of RCC immunotherapy. BGRs not only differentiate immunotherapeutic responses in orthotopic RCC mice, but also enable sensitive optical urinalysis of granzyme B in clinical specimens ...

Immunogenicity assessment of Hepatitis A-VP1 and Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) fusion protein: a novel bivalent vaccine candidate

open access: yesIranian Journal of Microbiology
Background and Objectives: Subunit vaccines have the privilege of utilizing immunogenic parts of the variable viruses. The current preventive vaccines against Hepatitis A are based on live-attenuated virus or wild-type growth in cell culture, which is a
