Knowledge, Attitudes, Practices, and Associated Factors of Healthcare Workers Toward Hepatitis B Post‐Exposure Prophylaxis in Ethiopia: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a major occupational hazard for healthcare workers (HCWs), particularly in low‐resource settings. Timely and appropriate post‐exposure prophylaxis (PEP) is essential to prevent HBV transmission following occupational exposure; however, its effective use depends largely on healthcare workers’

An Exploratory Study on the Pathogenic Role of Faecal Extracellular Vesicles in Metabolic Dysfunction‐Associated Steatotic Liver Disease Progression and in Drug‐Induced Liver Injury

open access: yesJournal of Extracellular Vesicles, Volume 15, Issue 3, March 2026.
Fecal extracellular vesicles (fEVs) from DILI patients have a distinct bacterial profile. This study provides evidence that bacterial EVs enter the bloodstream. DILI and MASLD F≥3 fEVs increase the pro‐inflammatory response and hepatocyte steatosis. FEVs from DILI patients enhance the hepatotoxic potential of diclofenac.

Clinical progress note: Hepatitis A virus

open access: yesJournal of Hospital Medicine, Volume 21, Issue 3, Page 294-297, March 2026.
Visual Abstract Abstract Despite a decline in hepatitis A virus (HAV) incidence following vaccine introduction, HAV remains a public health concern in the United States. Recent multi‐state outbreaks have demonstrated that HAV can re‐emerge and highlight inequities in vaccine coverage or access, outbreak response, and in those with social or health risk
