Autosomal Dominant Erythrocytosis Caused by Non‐Renal Erythropoietin (EPO) Due to EPO c.‐136 G>A Germline Mutation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.
A novel erythropoietin (EPO) promoter mutation (c.‐136 G>A) causes autosomal dominant erythrocytosis via non‐renal expression of EPO. ABSTRACT We previously reported a five‐generation kindred with autosomal dominant erythrocytosis associated with a novel germline promoter variant in the erythropoietin (EPO) gene (EPO c.‐136 G>A).

Synthesis of 1,4-Disubstituted Mono and Bis-triazolocarbo-acyclonucleoside Analogues of 9-(4-Hydroxybutyl)guanine by Cu(I)-Catalyzed Click Azide-Alkyne Cycloaddition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A series of novel mono-1,2,3-triazole and bis-1,2,3-triazole acyclonucleoside analogues of 9-(4-hydroxybutyl)guanine was prepared via copper(I)-catalyzed 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of N-9 propargylpurine, N-1-propargylpyrimidines/as-triazine with the ...

Optimization and Characterization of Aspirin‐ and Ibuprofen‐Loaded Lipid‐Based Nanoparticle Synthesis for Antibacterial Activity and Cytotoxic Effect

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lipid‐based nanoparticles (LNPs) are favored for drug delivery because of their low toxicity, high biocompatibility, ability to self‐assemble into nanoparticles, and ability to enhance drug bioavailability, thereby improving drug release modulation and pharmacokinetics.

Inhibition of DDR1 reduces invasive features of human A375 melanoma, HT29 colon carcinoma and SK-HEP hepatoma cells

open access: yesCell Adhesion & Migration, 2020
DDR1 is a receptor tyrosine kinases for collagen and an adverse prognostic factor in primary and metastatic tumors.Despite this, DDR1 signaling and its functional consequences in tumor development remain unclear.

Long-term cultivation of two diploid epithelial cell lines derived from normal rat liver cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
To obtain a useful rat liver cell line for in vitro carcinogenesis, two rat diploid epithelial cell lines were established from a 7-day-old male rat by the repeated colonial clone method.

Distinct roles of Constitutive Photomorphogenesis Protein 1 homolog (COP1) in human hepatocyte models

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Biosciences
IntroductionConstitutive Photomorphogenesis Protein 1 homolog (COP1) is a conserved E3 ligase with key roles in several biological systems. Prior work in hepatocyte-derived tumors categorized COP1 as an oncogene, but its role in untransformed hepatocytes

Highly Potent Fluorogenic Ligands for Triplex DNA: 5‐Substituted 2‐(Naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐Chromen‐4‐Ones

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
5‐Substituted 2‐(naphthalen‐2‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐ones are reported as a novel class of highly potent and selective triplex DNA ligands. These ligands induce triplex formation at submicromolar concentrations and inhibit enzymatic activity via ligand‐mediated triplex formation.
