Abstract Camelina (Camelina sativa L. Crantz) is a minor oilseed crop identified as a candidate crop for biorefinery in Europe. This crop should therefore meet specific quantitative, qualitative and environmental requirements. Weeds have been identified as a major problem for growing camelina.

RIVISTA DI STUDI SULLA SOSTENIBILITA', 2020
The elimination of chemical herbicides use is a key factor in vineyards, particularly in the case of biological cultivation. The machines employed for mechanical weeding under the vine row are often characterised by low travelling speeds and therefore also by a low working capacity.

Abstract Weeds are a concern to farmers mainly by reducing crop yield, especially in organic farming where herbicides are not an option. Additionally, reducing reliance on herbicides is among the goals to achieve sustainable crop production. By investigating alternatives for weed control, several studies have shown that grassland is more competitive ...

A well-recognized scientific method of assessing crop production in inflation is the analysis of economic and bioenergy efficiencies. Bioenergy assessment allows you to compare the effectiveness of different technologies in crop production in terms of energy consumption and identify ways to save it. The aim of the research was to determine the economic

The Sunflower (Helianthus) genus belongs to the Asteraceae family (Asteraceae) and includes more than 100 species of annual and perennial herbaceous plants. Cultivated sunflower is the most famous representative of the Sunflower genus. The south-western part of North America is considered the birthplace of sunflower, where wild species are growing now.

Differences in local topography (micro‐elevation) within a paddy field that constitute a source of variability in agronomical indicators have not been considered thoroughly as a block factor in weed studies. This study investigated and evaluated the performance of weeding machines (weeders) in two herbicide‐free paddy fields that contained micro ...

BULLETIN of the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University
Kyzylorda region is the main producer of rice in Kazakhstan. Annually, out of 195 thousand hectares of irrigated fields used in the region, about 80-90 thousand hectares are sown with rice. However, every year due to low water in the lower reaches of the Syr Darya River there are problems with water supply for water-loving rice crop.

In the semiarid northern Great Plains, the adoption of zero tillage improves soil water conservation, allowing for increased crop intensification and diversification. Zero-tillage crop production relies heavily on herbicides for weed management, particularly the herbicide glyphosate, increasing selection pressure for herbicide-resistant weeds.
