The efficacy of several herbicides in the vineyard and their toxicity to grapevines

Weed Research, 1979
Summary:Application of several herbicides and a combination of herbicides in two vineyards resulted in a perfect control of Bermuda grass by glyphosate and mixed or alternate applications of MSMA and dalapon. Johnson grass was eliminated by MSM A with and without the addition of dalapon.

Influence of application volume on herbicide efficacy.

Communications in agricultural and applied biological sciences, 2004
Herbicide doses used by farmers are often lower than registration doses. One of the reasons put forward is that field assays for registration are performed at relatively high application volumes (typically 300 L ha(-1)), whereas farmers use lower volumes (down to 75 L ha(-1) or even lower).

Herbicidal Efficacy of Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase Inhibitors

1999
Compounds which inhibit protoporphyrinogen oxidase (Protox) were known as “photobleaching herbicides” before their site of action was discovered. Photobleaching herbicides cause very strong bleaching of the treated part of higher plants. It was known that a photobleaching herbicide requires oxygen and light to express its herbicidal activity.

Investigation of efficacy of some new herbicides and their combination

1998
During the growth season of 1994-1996 through exact microtrials on the field of the Osijek Agricultural Institute at Osijek, Eastern Croatia, were investigated 14 herbicides and their combinations by soybean. The main purpose of this study was evaluated the most effective herbicide against present weed flora as well as their selectivity and their ...
