The Herbig–Haro Outflow Content and Star-forming Environment of Circinus West and East
We report the results of a spatially compete, high-sensitivity survey for Herbig–Haro (HH) outflows in the Western and Eastern Circinus molecular clouds.

Ultraviolet observations of low-excitation Herbig-Haro objects [PDF]
The Herbig-Haro (HH) objects rank among the faintest objects (v approx. 17) observed with the I.U.E. Expectations that the low-excitation shock-excited HHs should be dominated by H two-photon (2q) UV emission were borne out in the first observation of HH

A Study of HH 270 with the James Webb Space Telescope
We present a study of the Herbig–Haro object HH 270 based on observations from the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), Subaru Telescope, and Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA).

The structure of Herbig-Haro object 39
Monochromatic images of HH 39 obtained in the light of Hα, [O III], and [S II] are used to investigate the structure of this high-excitation object. Features in knot A at the head of the flow are interpreted in terms of a working surface composed of a bow shock and a Mach disk.

This study investigates the influence of Herbig–Haro jets on initiating star formation in dense environments. When molecular clouds are nearing gravitational instability, the impact of a protostellar jet could provide the impetus needed to catalyze star ...

We present a general procedure for deriving a line-profile model for massive-star X-ray spectra that captures the dynamics of the wind more directly. The basis of the model is the analytic solution to the problem of variable jets in Herbig–Haro objects ...

The exciting stars of Herbig-Haro objects
Accurate astrometry and infrared photometry are presented for 16 objects that are believed to represent the exciting stars for Herbig-Haro (HH) objects in their vicinities. These identifications are made on the bases of steeply rising energy distributions, proper motions of HH objects, alignment of sources with HH objects, or far-infrared emission ...

Bringing the Norma Dark Cloud to Light in X-Rays
The filamentary dark cloud complex in Norma reveals signs of active low-mass star formation including protostars, H α emission line stars, Herbig–Haro objects, and the eruptive FU Orionis-like star V346 Nor.

3D Spectroscopy of Herbig-Haro objects
HH 110 and HH 262 are two Herbig-Haro jets with rather peculiar, chaotic morphology. In the two cases, no source suitable to power the jet has been detected along the outflow, at optical or radio wavelengths. Both, previous data and theoretical models, suggest that these objects are tracing an early stage of an HH jet/dense cloud interaction.

Particle Acceleration and Depolarization in the Protostellar Jet Knots HH 80 and HH 81
Linearly polarized emission is a powerful tracer of magnetic field geometry and particle acceleration in protostellar jets. We present a polarimetric study of the Herbig–Haro (HH) objects HH 80 and HH 81, where nonthermal emission has been confirmed ...
