Jean‐Baptiste Say and the Political Economy of Republican Utopia in Revolutionary France

open access: yesHistory, Volume 111, Issue 394, Page 54-65, January 2026.
Abstract This article offers a fresh analysis of Olbie (1798), a frequently overlooked essay by the French author and economist Jean‐Baptiste Say (1767–1832). Interpreting a Sudden Population Decline in a Long‐Lived Species (Malaclemys terrapin rhizophorarum)

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2025.
Annual sex‐specific survival estimates for mangrove diamond‐backed terrapins (Malaclemys terrapin rhizophorarum) in Everglades National Park from 2001 to 2019. ABSTRACT Long‐term ecological studies are critical for providing insight into population dynamics and detecting population declines, particularly for species of conservation concern.

Distinct Contributions of Astrocytes and Pericytes to Neuroinflammation Identified in a 3D Human Blood-Brain Barrier on a Chip. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
Neurovascular inflammation is a major contributor to many neurological disorders, but modeling these processes in vitro has proven to be difficult. Here, we microengineered a three-dimensional (3D) model of the human blood-brain barrier (BBB) within a ...

Temporal increase in ticks and pathogen prevalence in the small mammal part of the Lyme disease cycle in northern Europe

open access: yesEcosphere, Volume 15, Issue 11, November 2024.
Abstract Lyme disease is an emerging infectious disease and the most common vector‐borne zoonosis in the northern hemisphere. The pathogen that causes Lyme disease in Europe is vectored by the generalist tick Ixodes ricinus, and the emergence of Lyme disease is partly linked to how climate warming affects tick distribution and abundance.
