The immersed boundary method (IBM) was coupled with the moment representation lattice Boltzmann method (MR‐LBM), reducing bandwidth requirements compared to population‐based LBM formulations. A systematic assessment of IBM parameters was conducted to quantify their effect on computational performance.

On the degree of approximation of the Hermite and Hermite-Fejer interpolation
Here we find the order of convergence of the Hermite and Hermite-Fejér interpolation polynomials constructed on the zeros of (1−x2)Pn(x) where Pn(x) is the Legendre polynomial of degree n with normalization Pn(1)=1.

ABSTRACT Recent advances in the numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations have yielded promising results. In particular, the Shifted Grünwald–Letnikov (SGL) approach allows for a generalization of the traditional finite difference method to the context of fractional differential equations.

A new method for interpolating yield curve data, with applications to the South African market
This paper presents a method for interpolating yield curve data in a manner that ensures positive and continuous forward curves. As shown by Hagan and West (2006), traditional interpolation methods suffer from problems: they posit unreasonable ...

On Hermite-Birkhoff interpolation
Let k and n be riatural numbers and let $$ E = \left\| {{ \in _{ij}}} \right\|,\quad \left( {i = 1, \ldots k;j = 0,1, \ldots ,n - 1} \right), $$ be a matrix with k rows and n columns having elements $$ { \in _{ij}} = 0\quad or\quad 1, $$ which are such that $$ \sum\limits_{i,j} {{ \in _{ij}}} = n. $$ .

The distance traveled by contour wave with artificial wave velocity in a step-time is often inconsistent with the mesh size. Therefore, when the transmission boundary formula is applied, the calculation nodes of transmission boundary are usually ...

Generalized Bivariate Hermite Fractal Interpolation Function
Abstract: Fractal interpolation provides an efficient way to describe a smooth or non-smooth structure associated with nature and scientific data. The aim of this paper is to introduce a bivariate Hermite fractal interpolation formula that generalizes the classical Hermite interpolation formula for two variables.

Visual Cues Can Alter the Behavioural Responses of Dragonfly Larvae to Chemical Alarm Cues
Using a controlled experimental approach, we examined how chemical and visual cues influence antipredator behaviour in Aeshna cyanea larvae and tested whether risk‐related information can be socially transmitted among nearby conspecifics. Our results show that dragonfly larvae do not copy the antipredator responses of others, but visual cues alter how ...
