Hernia, 2004
We report on the evolution in concept and techniques that allowed us to improve the treatment of spigelian hernia, operable in day surgery in 90% of cases and through a preperitoneal and recently a preperitoneal and subfascial prosthetic repair (PHS).We propose an innovative use of the PHS mesh for spigelian hernia repair. With this new implementation,

Surgical Clinics of North America, 1984
AbstractThe diagnosis of spigelian hernia presents greater difficulties than its treatment. The clinical presentation varies, depending on the contents of the hernial sac and the degree and type of herniation. The pain, which is the most common symptom, varies and there is no typical pain of spigelian hernia.

Management of Lindbom's hernia (ureterosciatic hernia)
Journal of Visceral Surgery, 2019Lindbom's hernia is very rare; treatment in symptomatic patients is hernia reduction. This can be temporary, performed endoscopically, but definitive cure is surgical. The surgeon can choose between simple reduction or resection followed by anastomosis of the involved ureteral segment, occasionally with associated hernioplasty.

Internal Hernias: No Bulge, No Hernia?
2019Internal hernias are a rare and easily missed cause of small bowel obstruction that occur in patients who have previously undergone bariatric surgery. A high index of suspicion must be maintained, as imaging and laboratory testing may be negative even with active pathology.
